SEAL RIB ANGLE GEARBOX - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the seal rib angle gearbox
(2) An installation of the seal rib angle gearbox.
B. The seal rib angle gearbox is installed between the seal ribs between the inboard and outboard flap.

F. Seal Rib Angle Gearbox Removal
SUBTASK 27-51-57-020-001
(1) Disconnect the torque tubes [3] from the seal rib angle gear assembly [5]:
(a) Install clamp set, SPL-1726 on the torque tube [3] outboard of the seal rib angle gear
assembly [5].
(b) Remove the screws [4] that attach the coupling sleeves [1] to the splined couplings [2].
(c) Move the coupling sleeves [1] off the splined couplings [2].
SUBTASK 27-51-57-020-002
(2) Remove the seal rib angle gear assembly [5]:
(a) Remove the nuts [9], washers [8], washers [7] and bolts [6] that attach the seal rib angle
gear assembly [5] to the rib [10].
(b) Remove the seal rib angle gear assembly [5].
