E. Procedure
SUBTASK 27-61-00-080-002
(1) Remove the flight controls hydraulic module locks from the spoiler shutoff valves.
(a) Remove the lockpins.
(b) Remove the lock, SPL-1675 from the two spoiler shutoff valves.
(c) Put the manual override lever at the two spoiler shutoff valves in the position 1 (ON
position).
(d) Before you connect the electrical connector, examine the connector for corrosion.

WARNING: DO THE STEPS BELOW IF THE AIRPLANE OPERATES AT AIRPORTS WHERE
DEICING FLUID THAT CONTAIN POTASSIUM FORMATE IS USED. ALSO DO THE
STEPS FOR ALL AIRPLANES THAT YOU FOUND CORROSION IN THE
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS IN THE MAIN WHEEL WELL. THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTOR IS PART OF A SYSTEM THAT IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE FLIGHT.
(e) If there was corrosion, refer to (SWPM 20-60-03) to correct the problem.
(f) Apply the D5026NS or ZC-026 compound, G50171 to the connector (SWPM 20-60-03)
(g) Connect the electrical connector to the spoiler shutoff valve at the spoiler hydraulic
modules A and B.

(2) Set the SPOILER A and B switches on the forward overhead panel to the ON position.

(3) Remove the safety tag and close this circuit breaker:

(4) Pressurize the hydraulic reservoirs if it is necessary. To pressurize them, do this task: Hydraulic
Reservoir Servicing, TASK 12-12-00-610-801.

SPOILER CONTROL SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) Spoiler Control System Operational Test
(a) This test can be used to quickly give the status of the spoiler control system. This test can
be done without special tools or equipment.
(2) Spoiler Control Cables Adjustment
(3) Ratio Changer Input Rod Adjustment
(4) Flight Spoiler Adjustment
(a) An adjustment of the clearance between the flight spoilers and the flaps.
(5) Spoiler Actuator Linkage Adjustment
(6) Spoiler Mixer Adjustment
(7) Spoiler Position Sensor Adjustment
(a) This is an adjustment and test of the operation of the spoiler position sensors No. 3 and 10.
(8) Flight Spoiler System Test
(a) This is a test of the operation of the flight spoilers No. 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, and 11.
(9) Spoiler Manual Operation Test
(10) Spoiler Operation Time Test
(11) Alternate Spoiler Position Sensor Test
(a) This is a test of the operation of the spoiler position sensors No. 4 and 9.
(12) Spoiler Mixer No-Back Assembly Test
(13) Spoiler Mixer Centering Mechanism Operational Test
B. The spoiler control system gives lateral control and speed brake signals to the flight spoiler
