SUBTASK 27-51-65-420-001
(1) If they are not installed, install the unions [5] and packings [4] in the ports of the flap control valve
assembly [6]:
(a) Apply fluid, D00153, or MCS 352B fluid, D00054 to the new packings [4].
(b) Put the packings [4] and unions [5] in their location on the flap control valve assembly [6].

SUBTASK 27-51-65-420-002
(2) Install the flap control valve assembly [6] in the flap control unit [1]:
(a) Put the flap control valve assembly [6] in its location on the flap control unit [1].
(b) Apply compound, C00913 to the shank and threads of the bolts [7].
(c) Install the bolts [7] and washers [8] to attach the flap control valve assembly [6].
(d) Install lockwire on the bolts [7].
(e) Connect the flap control valve assembly [6] to the cam follower arm [13]:
1) Apply grease, D00633 to the inside of the bushings [17].
2) Install the bushings [17], washers [16], bolt [15] and nut [18] that attach the flap control
valve assembly [6] to the cam follower arm [13].
3) Install the plug [9] on the forward side of the flap control unit [1].
4) Apply a bead of sealant, A00247 around the plug [9].
(f) Connect the hydraulic lines [2] to the flap control valve assembly [6]:
1) Remove the caps from the hydraulic lines [2].
2) Remove the plugs from the hydraulic ports on the flap control valve assembly [6].
3) Connect the hydraulic lines [2] to the flap control valve assembly [6].
