4. Outboard Flap Inboard Skew Mechanism Removal
(Figure 202)
A. General
(1) This task is applicable to the flap skew mechanisms installed on flap supports No. 2 and 7.
(2) You can remove the flap skew mechanism with the flap skew sensor [53] either removed or
installed. This task shows the removal with the flap skew sensor [53] installed.

(1) Extend the trailing edge flaps to the 40-unit position. To extend them, do this task: Extend the

control rod [61] to the crank arm [55] and to the carriage [62].

(a) Remove the nut [47], washer [46], washer [45], washer [44] and bolt [43] that attach the
sensor input assembly [42] and the jumper wire [48] to the flap track [48].
(b) Remove the nuts [52], washers [51], washers [50] and bolts [49] that attach the sensor input
assembly [42] to the flap track [41].
(c) Remove the sensor input assembly [42] from the flap track [41].
