WARNING: USE NITRILE GLOVES FOR THE SKIN PROTECTION AGAINST BMS

CAUTION: REMOVE THE UNWANTED MASTINOX FROM THE SURFACES WHICH YOU
_______ LUBRICATED. IF YOU APPLY THE MASTINOX TO THE JOINTS THAT TURN, FAILURE OF THE LANDING GEAR TO EXTEND OR RETRACT CAN OCCUR.
(g)
Before you connect the inboard end of the spring, apply the Mastinox 6856K to the inboard bolt (AMM 12-21-11/301).
(h)
Connect the inboard end of the spring.
(i)
Tighten the nuts on the inboard bolt with your hand.
NOTE: Loosen it if it is necessary, to the nearest
____ constellation to permit the installation of the cotter pin.
(j)
Lubricate the nut with grease and install the nut and washer on the inboard attachment.
(k)
Tighten the nut with your hand and install the cotter pins to the inboard and outboard attachments.

MAIN GEAR BEAM HANGER SHAFT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General________
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is the removal of the beam hanger shaft. The second task is the installation of the beam hanger shaft.
B. The beam hanger is also known as the support link. The beam hanger shaft is also known as the tube assembly.

(1)
Make sure the groundlock assemblies are installed in the nose and the left and right main landing gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).

Remove the pressure from hydraulic system A (AMM 29-15-00/201).
S 014-004

Remove the access panel 8401 from the left wing, or the access panel 8501 from the right wing.
S 014-005
(4)
Remove the outer wing door from the wing for access to the beam hanger.
(a)
Disconnect the pushrod (12) from the trunnion link (11).
(b)
Disconnect the bonding cable (13) from the wing structure.
(c)
Remove the nuts and washers from the bolts (9) of the two hinges on the outer wing door.
(d)
Hold the stabilizing beam in its position, and remove the outer wing door from the bracket on the wing structure.
(e)
Remove the stabilizing beam from the wing structure.
