Procedure to Install the Transfer Cylinder on the Main Landing Gear
S 434-009
(1)
Remove the plugs.
S 434-010
(2)
Install the hydraulic unions in the transfer cylinder with the new O-ring packings.

(3)
Fill the transfer cylinder from the two ends with hydraulic fluid.
(a)
Seal the unions with a cap.

Set the transfer cylinder in the clamps.

(5)
Adjust the position of the cylinder until the hydraulic lines are aligned.
NOTE: If you remove the clamp tee bolts, you must install the

inboard tee bolt with the nut up.

Remove the caps and the plugs.

Connect the hydraulic lines with your hand.
(8)
Tighten the clamp bolts and the hydraulic connections.

Operate the gear several times to bleed the air from the cylinder and the lines.
(d)
Extend the gear.
(e)
Remove the pressure from the hydraulic system A (Ref 29-15-00/201).
(f)
Make sure there is no leaks in the hydraulic connections.
(g)
Lower the airplane and remove the jacks.

If airplane jacks are not available or to lift the airplane on jacks is not possible, make the retraction of the main landing gear as follows:
(a)
Make sure that you install the transfer cylinder correctly.
