(6) S 095-022Remove the ground locks from nose the landing gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).
(7) S 845-007Retract the nose landing gear (AMM 32-33-00/501). (a) If it is necessary, extend and retract the nose landing gear while you do steps (7) and (8).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN THE MAIN LANDING
_______ GEAR TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE GEAR. FAILURE TO INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS WILL CAUSE THE GEAR TO RETRACT WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

With the nose landing gear retracted, do the following steps.
(a)
Give a 70 |10 pounds load approximately 1.0 inch aft and 1.0 inch outboard of the forward inboard corner or 85 |10 pounds at the forward stop fitting on each door.
(b)
Measure the dimension below the body contour at the forward inboard corner on each door.
NOTE: If the dimension is in 0.10 | 0.02 inch, continue to
____ step (12).

Remove the weight and extend the nose landing gear.

Adjust each door operator rod and aft link assembly, if it is adjustable, in the direction necessary to get 0.10 +/- 0.02 inch dimension.
NOTE: The door rods are adjustable like turnbuckles.

NOTE: The minimum dimension of the aft link assembley after
____ adjustment should be 31.82 inches between end hole centers. This is to assure an over-center condition between the link assembly and the crank assembly.

(11) Do the steps (7) and (8) if it is necessary to get the correct dimension.

Remove the weight from the door and extend the nose landing gear.

Do a check of the clearance between the steering actuator rod ends and the doors:
(a)
Lower the airplane and remove the jacks (AMM 07-11-11/201).
(b)
Turn the nose landing gear steering to the left stop position (78 degrees).
(c)
Make sure the minimum clearance between the steering actuator rod end and the door is 0.20 inches through the complete travel.
(d)
Do the above steps again except, turn the nose landing gear steering to the right stop position.
(e)
Lift the nose of the airplane with jacks until the tire will clear the ground (AMM 07-11-11/201).
NOTE: It is necessary to lower the support jack of the tail
____ while you lift the nose of the airplane on jacks.

Tighten the jamnut on each of the operator rod end of the door.

Install lockwire to each of the jamnuts and the rod end locks.

(1) Pressurize the hydraulic system A (AMM 29-15-00/201).
