Procedure

(1)
Clean the shank of the door operator bolt (14).

(2)
Apply a thin layer of corrosion preventive compound to the shank of the door operator bolt (14).

Install the door operator bolt (with corrosion preventive compound) in the support fitting (12) of the door operator on the bulkhead (16) side of the wheel well.
(a)
Make a mark of reference line on the end of door operator bolt (14) with no thread to align with the center of the antirotation bolt (17) hole.
(b)
Set the door operator bolt for installation from the inboard out.
NOTE: The reference line for center of the antirotation bolt
____ hole must align with the antirotation bolt hole in the operator support fitting of the door.
(c)
Move the bolt into the support fitting while you keep the reference mark and the bolt hole in the support fitting aligned.
(d)
Align the bolt holes in the door operator bolt and the support fitting of the door operator. 1) Install the antirotation bolt (17).
(e)
Install the flat washer, the shear nut, and the cotter pin.

Install the crank assembly (3) on the door operator bolt (14).
(a)
Move the crank assembly on the door operator bolt.

(b)
Install the door operator nut (13).
1) Tighten the nut until you can measure a clearance of 0.001 to 0.003 inch between the nut and the bushing (which is in the crank assembly).
(c)
Install the spring pin (15) to the operator nut of the lock door. 1) Install the lockwire on the spring pin.

(5) Attach the link assembly (8) to the trunnion bracket (9) and the crank assembly (3).
NOTE: If the (9) trunnion bracket is loose, fractured, or
____ requires re-tightening and/or replacement, reference (CMM 32-21-38/701).
(a)
Apply a thin layer of corrosion preventive compound to the shank of the bolt (1).
(b)
Attach one end of the link assembly to the trunnion bracket with the bolt (1) (with corrosion preventive compound), the flat washer, the shear nut, and the cotter pin.
NOTE: If the bracket (10) was removed, make sure you
____ re-install tha bracket as shown in Figure 401.
(c)
Apply a thin layer of corrosion preventive compound to the shank of the bolt (2).
(d)
Attach the other end of link the assembly to the crank assembly with the bolt (2) (with corrosion preventive compound) , the flat washer, the shear nut, the and cotter pin.

Lift the nose of the airplane with jacks until the nose wheel will clear of the ground (AMM 07-11-11/201).

Pressurize the hydraulic system A (AMM 29-15-00/201).
(a)
Use the override trigger on the control lever of the gear and retract the nose landing gear.
