Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) P6, Hydraulic System Circuit Breaker Panel a) C781, L.G. SYS XFR VALVE PRI CONT b) C799, L.G. SYS XFR VALVE SEC CONT
(d)
Put the control lever in the UP position to retract the main landing gear to be adjusted to the up and locked position.
NOTE: Put the control lever in the OFF position.

1) Adjust the turnbuckle on the cable MLGEA to get 0.12 (+0.03/-0.02) inch clearance between the forward cam finger and the forward uplock link roller or the aft cam finger and the aft uplock link roller, whichever is smallest.
NOTE: Make sure that the release handle is properly seated
____ in the V-SLOT of the manual extension control when you do this step (Detail A).
The force necessary to release the main landing gear from the UP and locked position is lowest when the clearance between the cam fingers and the uplock link rollers is smallest.

2) Install the turnbuckle locking clips on the cable MLGEA (AMM 20-10-10/401). 3) Do the main gear manual extension system operational test.
E. Put the Airplane back to its usual condition

Install the ground lock assembly in the main gear which you do the adjustment (AMM 32-00-01).
(a)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: 1) P6, Hydraulic System Circuit Breaker Panel 2) C781, L.G. SYS XFR VALVE PRI CONT 3) C799, L.G. SYS XFR VALVE SEC CONT
(b)
Lower the airplane and remove the jacks (Refer to Chapter 7).
(c)
Install the inner door of the shock strut (AMM 32-13-11, R/I).
(d)
Install the ceiling panels of the cargo compartment.
(e)
Find if it is necessary for the hydraulic or electrical power on the airplane.
NOTE: If it is not necessary, remove the power.

Prepare for the procedure

(1)
Lift the airplane until all tires are clear from the ground (Refer to Chapter 7).
(a)
Connect the external electrical power supply.
(b)
Install the ground lock assembly on both main landing gear.
(c)
Pressurize the hydraulic system A (AMM 29-15-00, MP).
(d)
Examine that you close all circuit breakers on landing gear circuit breaker panel (P6).

Put the control lever in the OFF position.

Attach the spring scale to the manual extension T handle of the left landing gear.

(b) Make sure the load to start the T handle from the seat has a
minimum of 6.5 pounds.
(c) Make sure the full travel of the T handle is 14.4 to 16.1
inches.
(d) Make sure the load during full travel of the T handle is not
more than 18.0 pounds.
NOTE: The T handle must be pulled upward and forward when you____
measure the load.
(e) Release the T handle.
(f) Make sure the T handle goes back to its stowed position freely.
