(1)
Install the hydraulic fittings and the O-ring packings lubricated with the hydraulic fluid in the actuator.

Retract the actuator.
NOTE: Fill the actuator with the hydraulic fluid and put a cap on

the ports.

Continue.
(a)
Put the downlock actuator in its position with the piston end inboard and the ports point forward.
(b)
Lubricate the outboard bolt shank lightly with grease before the installation.
(c)
Install the outboard bolt, washer and nut.
(d)
Install and tighten the nut to 75 - 110 pound-inches.
(e)
Align the constellation on the nut with the cotter pin hole in the torque limits. Install a cotter pin.
NOTE: Change the nuts and/or add the AN960PD washer if it is
____
necessary.
(f)
Install the downlock springs (AMM 32-32-91/401).
(g)
Remove the plugs and caps and connect the hydraulic lines to the actuator.
NOTE: Make sure you install the hydraulic hoses correctly and
____ do not twist the hoses.

_______ GEAR TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE GEAR. IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT IF THE GEAR RETRACTS.

Pressurize the hydraulic system A (AMM 29-15-00/201).

Do a check for leaks:
(a)
Move the override trigger.
(b)
Move the landing gear lever from the DN postion to the UP position and back three times. Watch for leaks each time.
NOTE: Hold the landing gear lever in each position for three
____ seconds before you move the lever to the subsequent position. This will bleed air from the system.
(c)
Make sure the landing gear lever is in the DN position.
(d)
Make sure the rod end of the downlock actuator tries to extend when you move the landing gear lever from the DN position to the OFF position.
(e)
Move the landing gear lever to the DN position.
(f)
Decrease the pressure from the hydraulic system A
(AMM 29-15-00/201).
(g)
Make sure there is no leaks in the hydraulic connections.
(6)
Do the retraction test of the main landing gear (AMM 32-32-00/501).
