Make sure that you install the ground lock assemblies for the landing gear (AMM 32-00-01).

Decrease the pressure from the hydraulic system A
(AMM 29-15-00/201).

Put a tag on the hydraulic lines to show the location.

Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the uplock actuator and put a plug on the hydraulic lines.
(a)
Remove the nuts, washers, and bearings from the inboard actuator attachment.
(b)
Remove the shaft.
(c)
Remove the bolt, washers and nut from the outboard end of the actuator and remove the actuator from the airplane.
(d)
Remove the hydraulic fittings from the actuator.
(e)
Discard the O-ring packings and put a plug on the ports.

Install the hydraulic fittings and the O-ring packings lubricated with hydraulic fluid for the actuator.
(2)
Retract the actuator.

Fill the actuator with the hydraulic fluid and seal the ports.
(a)
Put the uplock actuator in its position with the piston end inboard and the ports point forward.
(b)
Install the outboard attached bolt, washers and nut.
(c)
Tighten the nut 70 to 110 pound - inches.
NOTE: Change the nuts and/or add the AN960PD washer if it is
____ necessary. Align the constellation with the cotter pin hole in the torque limits. Lock the nut with the cotter pin.
(d)
Install the inboard attached shaft.
(e)
Install the bearings, washers, and nuts on the shaft.
(f)
Tighten the nuts to 50-70 pound-inches torque.
(g)
Install the cotter pins in the uplock attached nuts.
(h)
Remove the plugs from the uplock actuator, and the caps from the hydraulic lines.
(i)
Connect the hydraulic lines to their correct ports on the uplock actuator.
NOTE: When you connect the hydraulic lines, make sure you do
____
not cause kinks.

Bleed the uplock actuator (airplane on jacks) as follows:
(a)
Do the retraction test of the main landing gear only
(AMM 32-32-00/501).
(b)
Operate the gear three times to bleed the air from the actuator lines.

(5) If the airplane jacks are not available, bleed the uplock actuator as follows:
WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE GROUND LOCK ASSEMBLIES IN THE
_______ MAIN LANDING GEAR TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF GEAR. THE LANDING GEAR CAN RETRACT. IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND STRUCTURAL DAMAGE.
(a) Pressurize the hydraulic system A (AMM 29-15-00/201)
