 (1)  Operate the override trigger and move the control lever to the UP position.
 NOTE: Examine that all red warning lights are on during the gear
____ transit. Write the gear retraction time.
 (a)  Make sure that the nose landing gear is up and locked, and the wheel well doors are closed in 7.5 seconds or less from the time the control lever goes into UP detent.
 NOTE: The gear retraction time is when the control handle is
____ moved to the UP position and the red warning lights goes off.
 (b)  
Examine that the red warning light for the nose landing gear is off.

 (c)  
Put the control lever in the OFF position for approximately 15 seconds.

 (d)  Put the control lever in the DN position.
 NOTE:____ Examine that all red warning lights are on during the gear transit.
 (e)  Examine that the nose gear extension time does not exceed 6 seconds.
 NOTE:____ The gear extension time is defined as the time period between the control handle is in the DN position and the green indicator lights come on.
 (f)  Examine that all green indicator lights are on.
 (g) (h)  Install the ground lock assembly for the nose landing gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).Find if the electrical or hydraulic power is still necessary on the airplane.
 NOTE:____ If it is not, disconnect the sources.
 (i) (j)  Close the LDG GEAR SYS XFR VALVE - PRIM CONT and LDG GEAR SYS XFR VALVE - ALT CONT circuit breakers on P6 panel.Lower the airplane and remove the jacks (AMM 07-11-11/201).

 1.  Nose Gear Actuator Removal (Fig. 401)__________________________
 A. Equipment
 (1)  
Ground Lock Assemblies (AMM 32-00-01/201)

 (2)  
Tail Support Jack

Procedure


 S 864-001
 (1)  
Make sure that you install the ground lock assemblies on the nose and main landing gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).

 (2)  
Decrease the pressure on the hydraulic system A (AMM 29-15-00/201).

 S 024-003

 (3)  
Remove the bolt that holds the hydraulic clamp (7) around the nose gear actuator (8).

 (a)  
Loosen the nuts from the union (6) and the restrictor (19).

 (b)  
Remove the bolt (4) from the fitting (2) at the top of the actuator.

 (c)  
Remove the bolt (10) from the rod end (9) at the bottom of the actuator.

 (d)  
Move the actuator down until the ends of the hydraulic lines (5) and (20) are clear of the fittings (6) and (19).

 (e)  
Pull the top of the actuator forward.

 (f)  
Move the swivel bearing (14) in the drag brace upper link (13) until the fitting (2) is clear the fitting (24) in the top of the wheel well.

 (g)  
Pull and move the rod end (9) from the swivel bearing in the the upper link of the drag brace to remove the actuator.

 (h)  
Put a plug on the hydraulic lines.

 (i)  
Remove the union (6) and the restrictor (19) from the actuator.

 (j)  
Remove and discard the O-rings from the union (6) and restrictor (19).
