Install the isolation valve modular package on the mounting bracket with all three attachment bolts.

 NOTE: There are two procedures for the operational test:
____ If you will lift the airplane on jacks, do the task: "Isolation Valve Modular Package Operational Test (Airplane on Jacks)." If you will not lift the airplane on jacks, do the task: "Isolation Valve Modular Package Operational Test (Airplane on the Ground)."

 4. Isolation Valve Modular Package Operational Test

 A. General
 (1)  
Do not move the landing gear control lever to the up position when the isolation valve is closed. This will cause excessive pressure in the gear down lines.

 S 494-038
 (1)  
Make sure the ground lock assemblies are installed in the nose gear and left and right main gear.

 S 864-039

 (2)  
Pressurize hydraulic system A (Ref 29-15-00/201).

 S 714-040

 (3)  
Make sure the two isolation valves remove pressure from the main gear actuators when the valves are closed.

 (a)  
Remove the lockwire, and move the handles of the two isolation valves to the closed position (Fig. 401).

 (b)  
Put your hands on the hydraulic lines to the left and right main gear actuators.

 (c)  
Move the control lever for the landing gear from DN to OFF, and then from OFF to DN.

 (d)  
Make sure you cannot feel a pulse of pressure in the hydraulic lines to the landing gear actuators.


 NOTE: If you can feel a pulse of pressure in one or
____ more hydraulic lines, make sure the valve handle is correctly installed on the valve shaft.

 (4)  S 714-041Make sure hydraulic pressure goes through the two isolation valves to the main gear actuators when the valves are open. (a) Move the handles of the two isolation valves to the open position. (b) Put your hands on the hydraulic lines to the left and right main gear actuators. (c) Move the control lever for the landing gear from DN to OFF, and then from OFF to DN. (d) Make sure you can feel pulses of pressure in the hydraulic lines to the landing gear actuators.
 NOTE:____ If you cannot feel pulses of pressure in the hydraulic lines , make sure the valve handle is correctly installed on the valve shaft.
 (5)  S 864-042Move the two isolation valve handles to the open position.
 (6)  S 434-043Install handle stop bracket on the isolation valve modular package.
 (7)  S 434-044Make sure there are no leaks at the hydraulic connections.
 (8)  S 864-045Remove the pressure from hydraulic system A (Ref 29-15-00/201).
