Set the bolt (17) through the lock brace (3) and the shaft (19).
(g)
Install the washer and nut.
(h)
Tighten the nut to the approved torque.
(i)
Lift the lock strut to give access to the upper attachment bolt (18) of the lock actuator.
(j)
Align the rod end of the lock actuator (16) with the fork in the lock brace (3).
(k)
Install a countersunk washer on the upper attachment bolt (18) with the countersink toward the bolt head.
(l)
Put the nylon washer on each side of the rod end between the rod end and the lock brace fork.
NOTE: Install the bolt (18) from the left side of the
____
airplane.
(m)
Install the washer and nut.
(n)
Tighten the nut 290 to 410 pound-inches.
(o)
Install the cotter pin.
NOTE: If you cannot install the cotter pin and keep the torque
____ in the limits, you can change the nuts or add a washer. Put the washer below the bolt head between the lock brace and the countersunk washer.

Connect the lock link (6) to the drag brace:
(a)
Install the spacer bushings (11, 12) in each arm of the lock link (6).
(b)
Put the washer (15) on the pin (9) with the washer in the recess in the upper link (8) of the drag brace.
WARNING: USE THE NITRILE GLOVES FOR SKIN PROTECTION AGAINST BMS
_______ 3-27 (MASTINOX 6856K). IF THE MASTINOX GETS ON YOUR SKIN, IMMEDIATELY REMOVE IT WITH WATER. IF THE MASTINOX GETS IN YOUR EYES, IMMEDIATELY FLUSH YOUR EYES WITH WATER AND GET MEDICAL AID. THIS MATERIAL CONTAINS VERY POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE AGENTS WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
CAUTION: REMOVE THE UNWANTED MASTINOX FROM THE SURFACES WHERE YOU
_______ LUBRICATE. IF YOU APPLY MASTINOX TO THE JOINTS THAT TURN, FAILURE OF THE LANDING GEAR TO EXTEND OR RETRACT CAN OCCUR.
(c) Apply a thin layer of the corrosion preventive compound, Mastinox 6856K, to the bolt (14).

Install the bolt with the bolt head to the right of the airplane through the spacer bushings, washer (15), and the drag brace pin (9) (AMM 12-21-21/301).
(e)
Install the washer and nut.
(f)
Tighten the nut to 300-400 pound-inches.
(g)
Lock the nut with the cotter pin.

(3)
Connect the bottom end of the actuator to the fitting (20) (AMM 32-33-21/401):
(a)
Remove the nuts (7) from the spring retainer bolts.
(b)
Make sure that the shims on the lock sensor target (21) are tightly bonded.
NOTE: The target does not move in the axial or rotational
____
directions.
(c) If the shims are loose or missing, install new shims with adhesive.
NOTE: Remove the laminations if it is necessary to get the
____
zero clearance.
(d)
Connect the electrical conduit(s) to the lock brace.
