1. Nose Gear Lock Mechanism Removal (Fig. 401)

Ground Lock Assemblies (AMM 32-00-01/201)

Prepare for the procedure.
S 864-002
(1)
Make sure that you install the ground lock assemblies in the main gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).

Lift the airplane nose until the nose gear wheels are clear the ground (AMM 07-11-21/201).

Remove the ground lock assembly for the nose gear
(AMM 32-00-01/201).

Procedure
S 024-003
(1)
Remove the bolt (14) to disconnect the lock link (6) from the drag brace upper and the lower links (8) and (13):
(a)
Remove the spacer bushing (11) and (12) from each lock link (6).
(b)
Remove the bolt from the bottom end of the lock actuator.
(c)
Remove the nuts and washers from each end of the lock brace shaft (19).
(d)
Extend the springs (1) and (5).
NOTE: Move the ends of the spring off the lock brace
____
shaft (19).
(e) Remove the bolt (17) and the shaft (19).
NOTE: You can put laminated shims between the lock brace (3)
____ and the fitting (20). Keep the shims for the re-installation.
(f) Remove the lock sensor from the support bracket.
