Apply Mastinox 6856K to the bolt (7) immediately before you install it (AMM 12-21-11/301).

Install the bolt (7) through the walking beam (3) and the actuator (6). Install the special washer and nut.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE HEAD OF BOLT (7) IS ON THE AFT SIDE OF ACTUATOR
_______ WALKING BEAM. IF THE HEAD OF THE BOLT DOES NOT FACE AFT, DAMAGE TO THE MAIN LANDING GEAR SUPPORT BEAM CAN OCCUR.
(9) Tighten the nut to 350-400 pound-inches.
NOTE: The threads of the bolt (7) must be wet with Mastinox

6856K when you tighten the nut.

Install the Actuator Assembly

CAUTION:_______DO NOT LET THE BEAM HANGAR HIT THE ACTUATOR. WHEN YOU INSTALL THE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY, THE BEAM HANGAR CAN TURN AROUND THE BOLT (7) AND HIT THE ACTUATOR. DAMAGE TO THE BEAM HANGAR CAN OCCUR IF THE BEAM HANGAR HITS THE ACTUATOR.
(1) Lift the actuator assembly (6) into its position with the beam hanger (5) on the outboard side (View A, Fig. 401).
NOTE: If the stabilizer beam (2) was reinstalled, it may be
____ removed to make the installation of the actuator assembly (6) easier.

(2) Put the inboard end of the actuator (6) and the walking beam (3) on the shock strut (View E, Fig. 401).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE SHORT FLAT SIDE OF THE LUG ON THE BEAM HANGER
_______ SHAFT (4) IS FACING DOWN. THE BEAM HANGER SHAFT IS NOT SYMMETRICAL. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE SHAFT CORRECTLY, DAMAGE TO THE STRUCTURE CAN OCCUR WHEN YOU RETRACT THE LANDING GEAR.

Do these steps to attach the outboard end of the actuator assembly:
(a)
Put washers on the bolts.
