(1) Variable volume test bench that can supply 10 gpm at 3000 psi (optional).

B. Procedure
S 844-010
(1) Lift the airplane nose (Ref Chapter 7).
NOTE: Lower the tail support jack when you lift the nose.

(2) If you use the hydraulic test bench, connect the variable volume test bench.
NOTE: Pressurize the hydraulic system A to 3000 psi maximum.

(3) If you do not use the hydraulic test bench, pressurize the hydraulic system A with the electric motor driven pump (EMDP).

WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE GROUND LOCK ASSEMBLIES IN THE MAIN

(4) Install ground lock assemblies in the main gears (AMM 32-00-01/201).
WARNING: MOVE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT AWAY FROM THE WHEEL WELL
_______ FOR THE NOSE LANDING GEAR. INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR WHEN YOU LIFT AND LOWER THE NOSE LANDING GEAR.
(a) Operate the nose landing gear several times to bleed the air from the actuator and lines.
NOTE: Operate the override trigger on the landing gear control
____ handle before you remove the control handle.

Do the retraction test of the nose landing gear (AMM 32-33-00/501).
(a)
Make sure there is no leaks in the hydraulic connections.
(b)
Install the ground lock assembly of the nose landing gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).
(6)
Lower the airplane nose and remove the jacks.

4. Bleed Nose Gear Actuator (Airplane On The Ground)

A. Equipment
(1)
Ground Lock Assemblies (AMM 32-00-01/201)

If the airplane jacks are not available or the lift of the airplane is not possible, bleed the actuator as follows:

(1)
Make sure that you install the ground lock assemblies.

(2)
If you use the hydraulic test bench, connect the variable volume test bench.
NOTE: Pressurize the hydraulic system A to 3000 psi maximum.

If you do not use the hydraulic test bench, pressurize the hydraulic system A with the electric motor driven pump (EMDP).
(a)
Make sure you install the hydraulic hoses correctly and the hoses are not twisted.
(b)
Use the override trigger to move the landing gear lever from the DN position to the UP position and back several times.
NOTE: Hold the lever in each position for three seconds before
____ you move the landing gear lever to the subsequent position.
(c)
Make sure the actuator rod end tries to extend when you move the landing gear lever from the DN position to the OFF position.
(d)
Move the landing gear lever to the DN position.
(e)
Make sure there is no leaks in the hydraulic connections.
(4)
Decrease the pressure on the hydraulic system A (AMM 29-15-00/201)
