Remove the antirotation bolt from the arm of the walking beam (14).

actuator (6) and the walking beam assembly (3).

CAUTION:_______DO NOT LET THE BEAM HANGAR HIT THE ACTUATOR. WHEN YOU REMOVE THE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY, THE BEAM HANGAR CAN TURN AROUND THE BOLT (7) AND HIT THE ACTUATOR. DAMAGE TO THE BEAM HANGAR CAN OCCUR IF THE BEAM HANGAR HITS THE ACTUATOR.

Remove the actuator (6) from the airplane.

Do the steps that follow to remove the actuator (6) from the assembly:
(a)
Remove the bolt (7) that holds the actuator (6) and the walking beam (3) to the beam hanger (5) (View B, Fig. 401).
NOTE: There are flanged steel bushings (4) installed in the
____ beam hanger (5). There are nylon spacers between the actuator (6) and the beam hanger (5) and a special washer under the nut.
(b)
Remove the hydraulic fitting (17) and the one way restrictor (18) from the actuator (View E, Fig. 401).
(c)
Discard the packings.

(1) Install the hydraulic fitting (17) in the UP port and the one way restrictor (18) in the DOWN port of the actuator (6) with new packings.
NOTE: Install the restrictor with the hex away from the port.

CAUTION: UNWANTED MASTINOX MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE SURFACES WHICH WILL
_______ BE LUBRICATED WITH A GREASE NIPPLE. IF YOU APPLY MASTINOX TO THE JOINTS WHICH TURN, IT CAN CAUSE A FAILURE OF THE LANDING GEAR TO EXTEND OR RETRACT.
(2) Clean and lightly lubricate all the bolts, pins, and bearing surfaces with grease immediately before you assemble it.
NOTE: Apply a layer of Mastinox 6856K to parts which are not
____ lubricated with grease after installation (AMM 12-21-11/301).
NOTE: Apply a layer of MIL-PRF-23827 grease, or the preferred
____ grease BMS 3-33 to parts which are lubricated with grease after installation (AMM 12-20-00/301).
