H. Self-Test Switches and Warning Lights Test

(1) Do the warning lights and the self-test switches test:
(a)
Set the BITE switch on the Yaw Damper coupler to the "ARM" position.
(b)
Make sure the AUTOPILOT DISENGAGED lights are on continuously.
(c)
Make sure the lights do not extinguish when the autopilot system is engaged or disengaged.
(d)
To turn off the AUTOPILOT DISENGAGED lights, set the BITE switch on the Yaw Damper coupler to the OFF position.
I. Yaw Damper Self-Test

(1) Do these steps to prepare for the yaw damper self-test:
(a) Make sure that all systems related to the Yaw Damper system are on.
NOTE: Make sure the line voltage is 115 | 5.8 volts ac and 28

(b) (c) Make sure the Autopilot Warning Lights come on when you turn the BITE switch to "ARM".Make sure the airspeed is at zero knots.
NOTE:____ During self-test the EADI will indicate 45 knots when the airspeed is at zero knots.
(d) Make sure that you engage the Yaw Damper system during the self-test.
NOTE:____ It is not necessary to do the tests in sequence. First, turn the BITE switch to off and to ARM. Push the GO switch to one test before the necessary test. Do that test and ignore the test result. Then push the GO switch to the test you want to do.
