 (f)  
Do the preparation steps as shown on the CDU display.

 (g)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <CONTINUE.

 (h)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <CWS.

 (i)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <PITCH CWS.


 E.  Pitch Force Transducer Adjustment
 S 035-020
 (1)  Remove the adjustable end for adjustment:
 (a)  Install the rig pin E1 in the left forward quadrant and rig pin E5 in the right aft quadrant.
 NOTE: The rig pins E1 and E5 must go through easily and
____
 freely.

 (b)  
Remove the mass balance weights from the control columns (Ref 27-31-61/401).

 (c)  
Remove the mounting bolt, washer, and nut from the adjustable end of each transducer.

 (d)  
Remove the shoulder bolts, washer, and nut from the quadrant assemblies.

 (e)  
Install the rig pin E2 in the left quadrant and the rig pin E3 in the right quadrant.


 NOTE: You will find the label of the rig pin locations on
____ the quadrant assemblies. The rig pins E2 and E3 must go through easily and freely.

 (2)  Find the correct output voltage at the static conditions (null voltage) of the transducers (X1 and X2):
 (a)  
Follow instructions on the CDU until the CDU display shows the test 55.01 (LCL NULL PCWS SENSOR).

 (b)  
Make sure that the A and B voltages on the CDU display are between +0.080v and -0.080v.


 NOTE: The A voltage is the null voltage of the captain's
____ transducer. The B voltage is the null voltage of the first officer's transducer.
 1)  Hold the adjustable end of the transducer level to get the correct null voltage.

 2)  Loosen the clamps for the electrical cables if it is necessary to lower the null voltage shows on the CDU display. Tighten the clamps.
 (c)  Keep a record of the null voltage of the captain's transducer (X1) and null voltage of the first officer's transducer (X2).
 S 435-022
 (3)  Install the adjustable rod end of the transducers:
 (a)  
Remove the lockwire from the locknuts, fine adjustment nut, and washer tab on the each transducer.

 (b)  
Loosen the locknuts lightly until you can turn the adjusment nuts by hand.

 (c)  
Adjust the coarse adjustment (rod end) until you can install the mounting bolt on each transducer.


 NOTE: The fine adjustment is approximately 0.006 inch for
____ each turn. The coarse adjustment is approximately 0.016 inch for each turn.
 (d)  Adjust the fine adjustment nut until you get the final null voltages X1 |0.040v and X2 |0.040v (where X1 and X2 are null voltages as measured in step (2)).
 NOTE: The A voltage shows on the CDU display is the null
____ voltage of the captain's transducer. The B voltage is null voltage of the first officer's transducer.
 (e)  
If the CDU display shows a different null voltage, do the fine and coarse adjustment again.

 (f)  
Tighten the locknut on the fine adjustment nut for each transducer.

 (g)  
Install the lockwires for the locknuts, fine adjustment nut, and washer tab on each transducer.

 (h)  
Tighten the nuts on the adjustable end for each transducer.

 (i)  
Remove the rig pins E2 and E3 from the quadrant assemblies.

 (j)  
Install the shoulder bolt, washer, and nut in each quadrant assembly.


 NOTE: The bolt head is to the outboard.
