Push the YES key on the keypad.
1) Make sure that the display shows YD ENGA SW ON?

Set the yaw damper engage switch on the P5 overhead panel to ON. 1) Make sure that the yaw damper disengage warning light on
the P5 overhead panel goes out.
(k)
Push the YES key on the keypad. 1) Make sure that the display shows TEST IN PROGRESS.
NOTE: During the last seconds of the test, TEST IN
____ PROGRESS will flash on the display. The autoflight status annunciators on the P1 and P3 panels will also flash.
(l)
When the self-test is completed, make sure that the display shows TEST PASS.
(m)
Push the ON/OFF key on the keypad. 1) Make sure that the display shows TURN DISPLAY OFF?
(n)
Push the YES key on the keypad. 1) Make sure that the display momentarily shows DISPLAY OFF.
NOTE: The the yaw damper coupler does a 15-second shutdown
____ procedure after this indication. Do not push the ON/OFF key again until the shutdown procedure is completed.
2) Make sure that the A/P warning lights on the autoflight status annunciators (P1 and P3) go out.

(10) Do the yaw damper coupler servo test:
(a) Set the FLT CONT B switch on the P5 overhead panel to OFF.
1) Make sure that the yaw damper disengage warning light on the P5 overhead panel comes on.

2) Make sure that the FLT CONTROL B low pressure light on the P5 overhead panel comes on.
(b)
Push the ON/OFF key on the BITE keypad on the face of the yaw damper coupler (E1-3). 1) Make sure that the display shows ENTER BITE?
(c)
Push the YES key on the keypad within ten seconds. 1) Make sure that the display shows EXISTING FAULTS? 2) Make sure that the A/P warning lights on the autoflight
status annunciators (P1 and P3) come on.
(d)
Push and release the down arrow key until the display shows GROUND TESTS?
(e)
Push the YES key on the keypad. 1) Make sure that the display shows SELF TEST?
(f)
Push the down arrow key on the keypad. 1) Make sure that the display shows SERVO TEST?
(g)
Push the YES key on the keypad.
1) Make sure that the display shows these indications: a) WARNING! WARNING! b) RUDDER MOVEMENT c) RUDDER CLEARED?
(h)
Make sure that all personnel are clear of the rudder.
CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(i)
Push the YES key on the keypad. 1) Make sure that the display shows FLT CTRL B SW ON?
(j)
Set the FLT CONTROL B switch on the P5 overhead panel to ON.
1) Make sure that the FLT CONTROL B low pressure light on the P5 overhead panel goes off.
(k)
Set the yaw damper engage switch on the P5 overhead panel to ON. 1) Make sure that the yaw damper disengage warning light on
WARNING:_______ THE STEPS THAT FOLLOW WILL CAUSE THE RUDDER TO MOVE. MAKE
SURE THAT ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
RUDDER BEFORE YOU DO THESE STEPS. RUDDER MOVEMENT CAN
