Turn the sensor housing slowly until you get a value less than 60mV.

Tighten the clamp screw 8 to 12 pound-inches.

Remove the lockwire and turn the thumbnut on the microadjustment rod until you get the smallest possible value less than 30mV.

 Disconnect the VTVM, the test set, and the test cables.

 Connect the airplane wires to the A/P actuators and the aileron position sensors.

 (2)  S 865-034Make sure that the BAT switch (pilots forward overhead panel) is in the ON position.
 (3)  S 865-035Make sure that the STANDBY POWER switch is in the AUTO position.
 (4)  S 865-036Put the MASTER DIM and TEST switch, on the P2 center instrument panel, to the TEST position.
 (5)  S 865-039Make sure all indicator lamps and annunciator lights on the pilots panel operate correctly.
 (6)  S 865-040Make sure that the circuit breakers (on the P6 and P18 circuit breaker panels) for the systems shown below are closed and that the systems will operate. (a) FMCS (b) DADC (No. 1 and 2) (c) Interphone system (d) LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LIGHTS (e) AFCS (A and B)
 NOTE:____ Make sure that you close the AFCS A FCC DC and AFCS B FCC DC circuit breakers last.

AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

 (10) Make sure the indicated airspeed (IAS) is less than 50 knots.
 E. DFCS BITE Test

 (1)  Do the steps below to do the BITE test.
 (a)  
Push the INIT/REF key on the FMCS CDU and make sure that the CDU shows POS INIT page or PERF INIT page.

 (b)  
Push the line select key (LSK) adjacent to (<INDEX) and make sure the CDU shows INIT REF INDEX 1/1.
