ANGLE OF AIRFLOW SENSOR - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
_________________________________________
1. General_______
A. This procedure contains the installation test of the angle of airflow sensor (ALPHA).
B. The left angle of airflow sensor (ALPHA) is part of the No. 1 stall warning system. The left ALPHA sensor also supplies signals to the autothrottle system, system A AP/FD, and autoslat system. The right angle of airflow sensor (ALPHA) is part of the No. 2 stall warning system. The right ALPHA sensor also supplies signals to the system B AP/FD and autoslat system.
C. The DFCS Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) is used to do the operational test after the installation of the angle of airflow sensor. This test makes sure that the ALPHA sensors supply the correct autopilot synchro input to the AP/FD. It uses no external equipment. The airplane electrical and hydraulic power are the only sources necessary for this task.
