 (a)  
Open the right fan cowl panel on the left and right engines (AMM 71-11-02/201).

 (b)  
Disconnect the electrical connector D546 from the N1 speed sensor.

 (c)  
Connect the applicable function generator cables to pins 1 and 2 of the electrical connector D546.


 NOTE: The polarity of the signals from the function
____ generator does not make a difference.
 (d)  
Set the voltage on the function generator to approximately 0.0v at a frequency of 1086 |130 Hz.

 (e)  
Use the multimeter to make sure that the voltage is correct.

 (6)  
Set the VOR/ILS ramp test set for a LOC test (AMM 34-31-00/501).

 (7)  
Do the yaw damper/airplane interface test.

 (a)  
Push the ON/OFF key on the BITE keypad on the face of the yaw damper coupler (E1-3). 1) Make sure that the display shows ENTER BITE?

 (b)  
Push the YES key on the keypad within ten seconds.
 1) Make sure that the display shows EXISTING FAULTS?


 (c)  
Push and release the down arrow key until the display shows OTHER FUNCTNS?

 (d)  
Push the YES key on the keypad.
 1) Make sure that the display shows SYSTEM CONFIG?


 (e)  
Push and release the down arrow key until the display shows I/O MONITOR?

 (f)  
Push the YES key on the keypad.
 1) Make sure that the display shows ANALOG I/O?


 (g)  
Push the YES key on the keypad.

 (h)  
Push and release the down arrow key until the display shows roll att 0.0 |2.0 degrees.

 (i)  
Set and hold the display selector switch on the ISDU on the P5 overhead panel to TEST.

 


 NOTE: Many indications occur on the main instrument panels
____ during the first ten seconds of the IRS self-test. Ignore all of these indications. Ten seconds after the self-test starts, the IRS sets the roll attitude to 45 degrees roll right.
 1)  After approximately 10 seconds, make sure that the display on the yaw damper coupler shows a roll attitude of approximately 45 degrees.

 (j)  
Release the display selector switch on the ISDU.

 (k)  
Open this circuit breaker:

 1)  P6 Circuit Breaker Panel
 a) RADIO ALTM 2


 (l)  
Push and release the down arrow key until the display shows RA 1 xxxx ft. 1) Make sure that the display on the yaw damper coupler shows

 a radio altitude of 2000 |200 ft.

 (m)  
Adjust the radio altimeter test set to decrease the altitude shown on radio altimeter 1 to 750 feet. 1) Make sure that the display on the yaw damper coupler shows

 a radio altitude of 750 |200 feet.

 (n)  
Push the down arrow key on the keypad.

 1)  Make sure that the display on the yaw damper coupler shows RA 2 invalid.

 (o)  
Close this circuit breaker:

 1)  P6 Circuit Breaker Panel
 a) RADIO ALTM 2


 (p)  
Connect the radio altimeter test set to radio altimeter 2.

 (q)  
Set the altitude on radio altimeter 2 to 2000 feet.

 1)  Make sure that the display on the yaw damper coupler shows RA 2 2000 |200 feet.

 (r)  
Adjust the radio altimeter test set to decrease the altitude shown on radio altimeter 2 to 750 feet. 1) Make sure that the display on the yaw damper coupler shows

 a radio altitude of 750 |200 feet.

 (s)  
Push and release the down arrow key until the display shows CAS qpot xx.xx v.


 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE
_______ AND TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAPS. THE FLAPS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (t)  Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent (AMM 27-51-00/501). 1) Make sure that the display on the yaw damper coupler shows
 a CAS qpot between -6.5v and -8.5v.
