(d) (e) (f) Set the POWER switch to the OFF position.Set the horizontal stabilizer to 6 units of trim (B dimension is at 37.28 |0.05 inches).Find the index mark of the elevator: 1) Move the captain's control column lightly to make sure that the system is in the center. 2) Make a mark of the trailing edge of the right elevator on the side of the tail cone.
NOTE:____ This is the reference position of the right elevator for other measurements.
(g) (h) (i) Set the power switch to the ON position.Use the POSITION CONTROL A switch to align the elevator to the mark on the tail cone |0.06 inch. Lock the POSITION CONTROL A in its position.Set up the conditions as shown in the table below. Make sure that the right elevator positions are in the tolerances as in the table.

(j) Set the SOLENOID A to the A NORM position.
(k) Use the POSITION CONTROL B switch to align the elevator to the
mark on the tail cone |0.06 inch. Lock the POSITON CONTROL B
in its position.
(l) Set the switches on the test set as shown on the step
2.G.(3)(h).
(m) Set up the conditions as shown in the table below. Make sure
that the right elevator positions are in the tolerances as in
the table.
