_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDER, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (3)  Supply the hydraulic power to the hydraulic systems A and B (AMM 29-15-00/201).
 E.  Put the Airplane Back to Its Initial Condition

 (1)  
Make sure that you disengage the yaw damper system.

 (2)  
Remove the hydraulic power if it is not necessary
 (AMM 29-15-00/201).

 (3)  
Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary
 (AMM 24-22-00/201).

NOTE: If you do not do all of the tests in this task, you can cause nuisance
____yaw damper system disconnects and nuisance faults can possibly belogged in the yaw damper coupler memory.
 A. This procedure has these tests of the yaw damper coupler:
 (1)  
A program pin test

 (2)  
A self-test

 (3)  
A servo test

 (4)  
A pressure reducer test

 (1)  
Make sure the manual control lever for the rudder pressure reducer is in the NORMAL position (AMM 27-21-96/201).

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 WARNING: KEEP PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT CLEAR OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL
_______ SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR. THESE COMPONENTS CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Supply hydraulic power (AMM 29-15-00/201).

Set the yaw damper engage switch on the P5 overhead panel to OFF.


 (a)  Make sure that the yaw damper disengage warning light above the switch comes on.

 (5)  Make sure that the A/P warning lights on the captain's and first officer's main instrument panels (P1 and P3) are off.
 NOTE:  The A/P warning lights are on the autoflight status

Do the yaw damper coupler program pin test.

 (a)  
Push the ON/OFF key on the BITE keypad on the face of the yaw damper coupler (E1-3). 1) Make sure that the display shows ENTER BITE?

 (b)  
Push the YES key on the keypad within ten seconds. 1) Make sure that the A/P warning lights on the autoflight
