(a)
Connect the power cable of the test set to the D152 outlet on the electronic equipment rack.
(b)
Disconnect the D1681 (A system) and D1687 (B system) connectors from the actuators.
(c)
Connect a -110 cable from the actuator A to J-1 on the test set.
(d)
Connect a -110 cable from the actuator B to J-2 on the test set.
(e)
Connect a voltmeter (VTVM) to the LVDT FEEDBACK - A J10A and J11A on the test set.
(f)
Set the switches on the test set as follows: 1) LVDT FEEDBACK - A ON, B ON 2) LVDT EXCITATION - A ON, B ON 3) NSS EXCITATION - A OFF, B OFF 4) NSS FEEDBACK - A OFF, B OFF 5) SOLENOID EXCITATION (PISTON and ENGAGE) - A ON, B ON 6) CURRENT SELECT - A T-VALVE 7) SOLENOIDS ON/OFF (center switch) - ON 8) A&B SOLENOIDS - A NORM, B NORM 9) ACTUATOR SELECT - A&B COMMON 10) POWER - ON
NOTE: The NSS EXCITATION light must be OFF, but the

(14) Put the actuators to the null position:
(a)
Adjust the POSITION CONTROL A on the test set until the meter is at the lowest value.
(b)
Adjust the POSITION CONTROL A to move the actuator lever down until the VTVM reads 2.00 |0.03 volts. Keep a record of the voltage. Lock the POSITION CONTROL A in its position.
(c)
Disconnect the VTVM.
(d)
Connect the VTVM to LVDT FEEDBACK - B J10B and J11B on the test set.
(e)
Adjust the POSITION CONTROL B to move the actuator lever down until the VTVM reads 2.00 |0.03 volts. Keep a record of the voltage. Lock the POSITION CONTROL B in its position.
(f)
Make sure that there is no movement at the actuator levers.

(15) Do a check on the shear rivets of the two actuator levers:
(a)
Examine the shear rivet areas.
(b)
Make sure that there is no movement in these areas.
(c)
If there is a movement, remove the lever assembly and replace the shear rivets (OHM 27-09-05).
