B. Procedure
S 024-001
(1) Remove the actuator assembly:
(a)
Set the thrust lever in the idle position.
(b)
Open the autothrottle system AC and DC circuit breakers on P18 panel.
(c)
Release the four bolts (two on each side of the actuator assembly).

(d)
Remove the actuator assembly from the torque switch mechanism carefully.
(e)
Disconnect the electrical cable from the actuator assembly.

(2) Remove the Torque Switch:
NOTE: You can remove the torque switch and ignore the rigging
____ installation of the throttle cable.
(a)
Disconnect the torque switch pigtail from the adjacent terminal block.
(b)
Remove the two screws which attach the torque switch to the top of the torque switch mechanism assembly.
(c)
Remove the torque switch from the torque switch mechanism assembly.

D. Procedure
NOTE: Make sure the shaft and the gears are in good condition.

(1) Install the actuator assembly:
(a)
Apply a thin layer of grease to the pinion of the actuator assembly.
(b)
Turn the actuator assembly so that the electrical connector is toward the aft end of the airplane.
(c)
Connect the electrical cable to the actuator assembly.
(d)
Set the actuator assembly in the location against the torque switch mechanism.
(e)
Tighten the four bolts (two on each side of the actuator assembly).

(2) Install the Torque Switch:
(a)
Set the torque switch on top of the torque switch mechanism assembly.
(b)
Tighten the torque switch with a short slot screwdriver.
