Push the LSK adjacent to <DFCS.

 (e)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <LRU INTERFACE.

 (f)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <CHANNEL A AND B.

 (g)  
Push the NEXT PAGE key on the CDU keyboard.

 (h)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <ALP VANE.

 (i)  
Do the preparation steps as shown on the CDU display.

 (j)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <CONTINUE.

 (k)  
Make sure that the test is completed with no failure.

 (l)  
If a failure occurs, do these steps: 1) From the CDU display, make a note of the channel and the

 


 LRU that caused the failure. 2) Replace the defective component.
 NOTE: Before you replace a defective component, do the
____ BITE on the system (if it is applicable) and on FMS interface subsystems with the defective component.
 3)  Push the LSK adjacent to <RERUN to do the test again until the CDU display shows TEST PASSED.
 (m)  Push the INIT REF key on the CDU keyboard to get out of the BITE.

 (3) Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 TAKEOFF/GO-AROUND SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is for the removal of the takeoff/go-around (TO/GA) switches. The second task is for the installation of the TO/GA switches.
 B.  You can find the TO/GA switch in the switch housing on the top aft edge of each thrust lever.

 2.  Takeoff/Go-Around Switches Removal (Fig. 401)__________________________________
 A.  Standard Tools and Equipment
 (1)  
Gun - Heat; Commercially available

 (2)  
Tool - Soldering; Commercially available


 B.  Access
 (1)  Location Zones
 101 Control Cabin - Left
 102 Control Cabin - Right

 C.  Procedure
 S 864-002
 (1)
Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P6 Circuit Breaker Panel 1) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B SNSR EXC AC 2) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B FCC DC 3) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B WARN LIGHT BAT

 (b)  
P18 Circuit Breaker Panel 1) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A SNSR EXC AC 2) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A FCC DC 3) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A WARN LIGHT BAT 4) AUTOTHROTTLE AC 5) AUTOTHROTTLE DC

 

 (2)  
Make sure that the engines are not in operation.

 (3)  
Put the thrust lever in a position to get access to the cover and the switch mounting screws.

Do these steps to remove the switch:

 (a)  Remove the cover from the switch housing.

 (b)  
Remove the switch mounting screws.

 (c)  
Remove the switch and the switch holder from the switch housing.

 (d)  
Remove the retaining nut and washer from the switch.

 (e)  
Remove the switch from the switch holder.
