Push LSK 3L (<A/T) for the A/T BITE test page 1/2.
(t)
Make sure that the red A/T warning lights come on.
(u)
Make sure that the A/T BITE TEST page 1/2 is shown on the CDU.
(v)
Set the FMC source select switch to the NORMAL position.
(w)
Make sure that the A/T BITE TEST page 1/2 stays on the CDU.
(x)
Close the FMCS CMPTR NO. 2 circuit breaker on the P6-1 circuit breaker panel.

2) Simulate airspeed (captain's): 225 knots 3) Simulate altitude (captain's): 3000 feet 4) Radio altitude (No. 1): 2500 feet 5) Flap position: 0 degrees 6) The two thrust levers: mid position 7) Landing gear handle: DOWN position
WARNING:_______ TO AVOID INJURY TO PERSONNEL, STAY CLEAR OF LEADING EDGE
SLATS. THESE PARTS CAN MOVE AUTOMATICALLY DURING
MAINTENANCE WHEN YOU SUPPLY EITHER HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. ALSO
THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS ARE IN POSITION 1, 2, or 5, AND
NOSE OR MAIN LANDING GEAR AIR/GROUND RELAYS SENSE AN
AIRBORNE CONDITON.
(b)
Open the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LIGHTS circuit breaker to put the airplane in the air mode.
(c)
Select CRZ on the FMCS CDU.
(d)
Do these steps on the DFCS mode control panel(on the lightshield): 1) Set the airplane at 3000 feet altitude 2) Set the two F/D switches to OFF 3) Set the A/P ENGAGE switches to OFF 4) Set the SPEED to OFF 5) Set the A/T ARM/OFF switch to ARM
(e)
Set the two F/D switches to ON and make sure the IAS/MACH window shows 225 knots
(f)
Make sure that A/T annunciation is MCP SPD
(g)
Set the two PMC switches on the aft overhead panel to ON.
(h)
Make sure the PMC lights are extinguished.
(i)
Set the two throttle levers to mid-position.
(j)
Make sure the two throttle levers are stable.
(k)
Increase the No. 1 engine tach signal generator to a 2820 | 52 Hz (109 |2% N1) rapidly.
(l)
Make sure the No. 1 throttle lever moves back quickly (about 15 degrees/second).

If the No. 2 throttle lever moves make sure that it moves at a slower rate (less than 6 degrees/second).
(n)
Ignore any throttle lever stagger.
(o)
Set the No. 1 engine tach signal generator to 1086 | 130 Hz(42.0 | 5% N1)
(p)
Set the two throttle levers to the mid-position and make sure they are stable.
(q)
Increase the No. 2 engine tach signal generator to a frequency of 2820 | 52 Hz(109 | 2% N1).
(r)
Make sure the No. 2 throttle lever moves back quickly (about 15 degrees/second).
(s)
If the No. 1 throttle lever moves make sure that it moves at a slower rate (less than 6 degrees/second).
(t)
Ignore the throttle lever stagger.
(u)
Set the No. 2 engine tach signal generator to 1086 | 130 Hz(42.0 | 5%N1)
(v)
Remove the test equipment.
(w)
Disconnect all the test equipment.
(x)
Connect all the test connectors.
