 AUTOFLIGHT STATUS ANNUNCIATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is for the removal of the autoflight status annunciator. The second task is for the installation of the autoflight status annunciator.
 B.  The autoflight status annunciator is also known as the FMS warning annunciator. There are two autoflight status annuciators installed in the airplane, one on each pilot's instrument panel.
 C.  Each annunciator is attached to the rear of the pilot's instrument panel with a clamp. Two electrical connectors are at the rear of each annunciator.

 2.  Annunciator Removal___________________

 101 Control Cabin - Left
 102 Control Cabin - Right

 B.  Procedure

 (1) Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a)  
P6 Circuit Breaker Panel 1) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B MACH TRIM AC 2) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B MACH TRIM DC 3) AFDS MCP CRS-2 4) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B SNSR EXC AC 5) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B FCC DC 6) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B ENGAGE INTLK B 7) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B WARN LIGHT BAT

 (b)  
P18 Circuit Breaker panel 1) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A MACH TRIM AC 2) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A MACH TRIM DC 3) AFDS MCP DC 4) AFDS AIL FORCE LIM (Not on airplanes with -914 FCC) 5) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A SNSR EXC AC 6) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A FCC DC 7) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A ENGAGE INTLK A 8) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A WARN LIGHT BAT 9) AUTOTHROTTLE AC 10) AUTOTHROTTLE DC 11) FMCS CMPTR

 (2)  Remove the annunciator:
 (a)  Loosen the two screws that attach the clamp to the annunciator. The screws are in the top right and bottom left corners.
 NOTE: Do not loosen the top left and the lower right screws.
____ These two screws hold the annunciator in its position behind the instrument panel.
 (b)  
Carefully pull the annunciator out of the instrument panel.

 (c)  
Disconnect the two electrical connectors.

 (d)  
Install the dust caps on the electrical connectors.

 C. Procedure

 (1)  Install the annunciator:
 (a)  
Remove the dust caps from the electrical connectors.

 (b)  
Connect the two electrical connectors.

 (c)  
Install the annunciator.

 (d)  
Tighten the top right and the lower left screws.

 D. Annunciator Test
 S 864-006
 (1)  
Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 (2)
Close these circuit breakers and remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
