 E. Sensor Adjustment
 NOTE: DFCS BITE is done with FMCS CDU.

Push the INIT/REF key on the FMCS CDU. Make sure that the CDU shows the POS INIT page or PERF INIT page.

Push the line-select key (LSK) adjacent to (<INDEX) and make sure that the CDU shows the INIT REF INDEX 1/1.

Lower the flaps to get access to the sensor.

 Loosen the mounting screws on the sensor to make sure the sensor can be turned.

 Turn the sensor housing slowly until you get a value less than 100 millivolts.

Return the speedbrake lever to the OFF position.

 Remove the lockwire from the thumb nut on the microadjustment rod.

 Turn the thumb nut until you get the smallest value less than 60 millivolts. Install the lockwire.


 NOTE:  If you do not get the null with the microadjustment rod, adjust the rod length to 3.54 inches, and do the last two steps again.
