DFCS BITE
B. The other two tasks do a test of the elevator position sensor. They are:
(1)
BITE Test.
(2)
Manual Test.
C. The elevator position sensor is connected to the elevator torque tube and is installed on the aft bulkhead station 1156 (AMM 27-31-00/201).
D. To get access to the elevator position sensor, you will remove access panel 3802 on the tail cone (AMM 12-31-41/201).
E. The autopilot system and all elevator rigging must fully adjusted before the actuator can be adjusted. The mach trim actuator must be able to operate and the actuator nulled.

(6) S 485-010Connect the power cable between the test set and the power outlet on the (D152) electronic equipment rack or an equivalent power outlet.
(7) S 035-011Disconnect D1681 (A system) and D1687 (B system) connectors from the autopilot actuators.
(8) S 485-012Connect the -3 test cables as follows: (a) J1 to actuator A (b) J2 to actuator B.
(9) S 485-013Connect the VTVM to the LVDT EXCITATION jacks J10A and J11A on the test set.
