Use the wrench set to install the mach trim flap switch.

Do these steps to install the Mach Trim Flap Switch.
(a)
Put the switch in the flap control unit and install the retaining nut and the roller guide. Install the pin to attach the roller guide.
(b)
Install two switch wires in the connectors and connect to the receptacle.
(c)
Install the other switch wire to the spice lug.
(d)
Replace the wire bundle ties.
(e)
Install the two support clamps on the wire bundle.

(4) Do the Mach Trim Flap Switch - Adjustment/Test procedure
(AMM 22-21-31/501).
E. Put the airplane back to its initial condition

Make sure that there is lockwire thru the switch retaining nuts.

Apply a light layer of grease to the surface of the gasket.

Install the switch cover on the flap control unit.

Install the inboard flap track fairings (AMM 27-51-32/401).
(5)
Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary.

MACH TRIM FLAP SWITCH - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first is the Mach Trim Flap Switch adjustment and the second is the Mach Trim Flap Switch test.
B. The Mach Trim Flap Switch S290 and flap limit switches are installed on the flap control unit in the right wheel well (Fig. 501).

Close the circuit breakers shown below on circuit breaker panel P6-2:

(3) Remove number 4 and 5 Inboard Flap Track Fairings
(AMM 27-51-32/401).
NOTE: You must remove the fairings for access to measure the ball
____ screw nut location for the switch adjustment.

(4) Remove the switch cover from the flap control unit (Fig. 501).
E. Mach Trim Flap Switch Adjustment

(1) Set the alternate flap master switch to ARM. Use the alternate flap switch to put the flaps at 1 unit.
NOTE: Do not disconnect the torque tubes to set the flaps.
