CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE
_______ AUTOTHROTTLE COMPUTER. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPUTER.
(1)
Do these steps to install the autothrottle computer:
(a) Install the autothrottle computer (AMM 20-10-07/201)
(b)
Close all the autothrottle circuit breakers.Autothrottle Computer Test

Do a BITE test on autothrottle system (AMM 22-31-10/501)Interface Test

Do these steps for the interface tests:
(a)
Turn the light switch on the center instrument panel to the dim position.
(b)
Reset the MASTER CAUTION switch on the lightshield to OFF.
(c)
Make sure all the amber lights on the engine module on the aft overhead panel are off.
(d)
Push the PMC 1 or PMC 2 switch (on the aft overhead panel) to OFF.
(e)
Make sure the PMC INOP amber light is on.
(f)
Make sure the MASTER CAUTION and the MASTER CAUTION ENG annunciators come on.
(g)
Push the PMC switch to ON.
(h)
Make sure the PMC INOP, THE MASTER CAUTION and the MASTER CAUTION ENG annunciators extinguish.

A. This procedure contains one task. This test is the autothrottle computer installation test.

A. General
(1) The autothrottle BITE test will make sure the autothrottle computer is installed correctly.

C. Prepare For The BITE Test

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure that you prepare the airplane for the BITE test:
(a)
The airplane is in the ground mode.
(b)
The flaps are fully up.
(c)
Airspeed is at 0 knots.
(d)
The radio altitude is at 0 (normal on-ground display).
(e)
The thrust levers are at the idle stop position.
(f)
Align the IRU-1 and IRU-2.
(g)
The landing gear lever is in the down position.
(h)
The two engines are off.
D. Autothrottle Bite Test
NOTE: You can do the autothrottle BITE test on the FMCS CDU.

(1) Do these steps to get in the autothrottle BITE test:
(a)
Push the INIT/REF key on the FMCS CDU.
(b)
Make sure the FMCS CDU shows one of the two POS/INIT or PERF/INIT page.
(c)
Push the line-select key (LSK) 6L (<INDEX) for the INIT/REF INDEX 1/1 page on the CDU.
NOTE: The line-select key (LSK) 6L is the sixth key down on
____ the left hand side of the CDU display. You can select all the data line which has the caret (<) adjacent to the LSK.
