(1) Do these steps to install the switch:
(a)
Put the wire at each end of the switch through a heat shrink tubing.
(b)
Solder the wires to the new switch terminals.
(c)
Move the heat shrink tubing to all the terminals.
(d)
Blow the hot air on the heat shrink tubing to make it smaller.
(e)
Put the switch in the switch holder.
(f)
Install the washer and retaining nut.
(g)
Tighten the nut.
(h)
Install the switch and the switch holder into the switch housing.
(i)
Install the switch mounting screws.
(j)
Tighten the mounting screws.
(k)
Install the switch housing cover.

TAKEOFF/GO-AROUND SWITCH ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains the installation test of the Takeoff/Go-Around switch (TOGA).
B. The Autothrottle Built-In Test Equipment is used to do the operational test after the installation of the Takeoff/Go-Around (TO/GA) switches. This test makes sure that the TO/GA switches operate correctly. It uses no external equipment. The airplane electrical and hydraulic systems are the only power sources necessary for this task.
C. You can find the TO/GA switches on the upper aft edge of each engine thrust lever.
