STABILIZER POSITION SENSOR - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains three tasks. The first two tasks do the elevator position sensor adjustment. Only one of the tasks is necessary. These tasks use:

B. These are followed by a procedure to do a test of the elevator position sensor.
C. The stabilizer positon sensors are connected to the stabilizer torque tube crank arms and installed on the aft bulkhead station 1156. The stabilizer position sensors are found on opposite sides of the elevator feel mechanism (AMM 27-31-00/201 Elevator and Tab Control System).
D. To get access to the stabilizer position sensor, you will remove access panel 3802 on the tail cone (AMM 12-31-41/201, Access Doors and Panels).
E. The autopilot system and all elevator rigging must fully adjusted before the actuator can be adjusted. The mach trim system must be able to operate and the actuator nulled.
