D. Yaw Damper Self-Test
S 735-011
(1) Do these tasks for the Yaw Damper Self-Test:
STEP____ MONITOR_______
TEST LIGHTS
NO. PASS___________ FAIL____
(a) BITE Self Test Arm__________________
1) Disengage the yaw damper.
2) Set the BITE switch to ARM. ON OFF
3) Push the LAMP test switch and 8 ON ON
hold.
4) Release the LAMP test switch. 0 ON OFF
(b) Test 1 - Rate Gyro Filter 1___________________________
1) Engage the yaw damper and
make sure the hydraulics are on.
2) Push the GO switch. Make a 1 ON OFF
note after 1 second.
(c) Test 2 - Engage Null____________________
1) Engage the yaw damper and
make sure the hydraulics
are on (from Test #1).
2) Push the GO switch. Make a 2 ON OFF
note after 5 seconds.
(d) Test 3 - Rate to Rudder (Move)______________________________
1) Engage the yaw damper and
make sure the hydraulics
are on (from Test #2).
2) Push the GO switch. Make a 3 ON OFF
note after 1 second.
(e) Test 4 - Rate to Rudder (Integral)__________________________________
1) Engage the yaw damper and
make sure the hydraulics
are on (from Test #3).
2) Push the GO switch. Make a 4 ON OFF
note after 40 seconds.
(f) Test 5 - Disengage Synchronization__________________________________
1) Disengage the yaw damper and
make sure the hydraulics are off.
2) Push the GO switch. Make a 5 ON OFF
note after 5 seconds.
(g) Test 6 - Derived Accel. First Step__________________________________
1) Disengage the yaw damper and make
sure the hydraulics are off

(h) Test 7 - Rate Gyro Filter 2___________________________
1) Disengage the yaw damper and
make sure the hydraulics
are off (from Test #6).
2) Push the GO switch. Make a 7 ON OFF
note after 1 second.

2) Push the GO switch. Make a 8 ON OFF note after 1 second.
