Remove the 3802 access door on the tail cone (Ref 12-31-41/201).

Put in the E-5 rigging pin in the aft control quadrant
E. Remove the mach trim actuator

Disconnect the electrical connector from the mach trim actuator.

(2)
Remove the double bolt, nuts, and washers that connect the actuator jackscrew to the crank of the neutral shift sensor.
NOTE: Pull up on the aft end of the elevator feel and centering
____ unit to release the load on the bolt.

Remove the two bolts that attach the mach trim actuator to the elevator feel and centering unit.

Remove the mach trim actuator.

A. Standard Tools and Equipment
(1) Rigging Pin - E-5, 0.309/0.311 inch diameter, 3.7 +/- 0.25 inches long (MS20392-4).
NOTE: This rigging pin is part of F70207-83

Remove the hydraulic pressure from the elevator hydraulic systems A and B (Ref 27-31-00/201).

Make sure the rigging pin E-5 is installed in the aft control quadrant (Fig. 401).
E. Procedure

(1) Make sure the bearings and washer are in the correct position - at the mounting points on the feel and centering unit. Detail C on Figure 401 (sheet 2) shows the correct position.
NOTE: Move the feel and centering unit up or down to put the
____ actuator arm in position. If it is necessary, remove the rigging pin and push the elevator control surface up, or pull aft on the control column.
