CAUTION:_______USE ONLY 115 VOLTS, 400 HZ AC FOR THE TRANSDUCERS. 60 HZ VOLTAGE WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TRANSDUCERS.
(c)
Set the SYSTEM A - SYSTEM B switch on the test set to the SYSTEM A position.
(d)
Supply electrical power to the test set.
NOTE: Permit 15 minutes for the transducers to become warm and
____
stable.

(3) Find the correct output voltage at the static condition (null voltage) of the captain's transducer (X1):
(a)
Set the select switch on the test set to the CAPT position.
(b)
Make sure that the null voltage is less than 0.080 v. 1) Hold the adjustable end of the transducer level to get a correct null voltage.
2) Loosen the clamps of the electrical cables if it is necessary to lower the null voltage. Tighten the clamps.
(c)
Keep a record of the null voltage of the captain's transducer (X1).
S 865-011
(4) Find the null voltage of the first officer's transducer (X2):
(a)
Set the select switch to the F/O position.
(b)
Make sure that the null voltage is less than 0.080 v. 1) Hold the adjustable end of the transducer level to get the correct null voltage.
2) Loosen the clamps of the electrical cables if it is necessary to lower the null voltage. Tighten the clamps.
(c)
Keep a record of the null voltage of the first officer's transducer (X2).
S 435-012
(5) Install the adjustable end of the transducers:
(a)
Remove the lockwire from the locknuts, fine adjustment nut, and washer tab on each transducer.
(b)
Loosen the locknuts lightly until you can turn the adjustment nuts by hand.

(c) Adjust the coarse adjustment (rod end) until you can install the mounting bolt on each transducer.
NOTE: The coarse adjustment is approximately 0.016 inch for
____ each turn. The fine adjustment is approximately 0.006 inch for each turn.
(d) Adjust the fine adjustment nut until you get the final null voltages X1 |0.020v and X2 |0.020v (where X1 is the null voltage as measured in step (3) and X2 is the null voltage as measured in step (4)).
NOTE: Use the CAPT and F/O positions on the test set to
____ get the null voltage of the transducers. If you use the DFCS BITE Test, adjust the rod end to equal the voltage as shown on the ANALOG SENSOR SIGNALS, Test 56.03. If you use only the test set, you will get more than one null voltage.
(e)
Set the select switch to the TOTAL position.
(f)
Make sure that the total voltage is larger than the null voltage of each transducer.
(g)
If the total voltage is less than the null voltage of each transducer, do the fine and coarse adjustment again.
NOTE: It is necessary to measure the null voltage after each
____
coarse and fine adjustment.
(h)
Tighten the locknut on the fine adjustment nut for each transducer.
(i)
Install the lockwire for the locknuts, fine adjustment nut, and washer tab on each transducer.
(j)
Tighten the nut on the adjustable end in each quadrant.
(k)
Remove the rig pins E2 and E3 from the quadrant assemblies.
(l)
Install the shoulder bolt, washer, and nut in each quadrant.
