1. General

A. This procedure has this task:
(1) A lever latch/fork assembly adjustment for the yaw damper coupler.

A. Procedure
S 862-001
(1) Release the levers in the handles on the front of the yaw damper coupler.
NOTE: Do not disengage the electrical connector on the back of the
____
yaw damper coupler.

(2) If the electrical connector on the back of the yaw damper coupler is not fully engaged, do this step:
(a) Move the levers toward the yaw damper coupler until the connector on the back is fully engaged.

(3) Position the levers in the handles to the dimension shown (Fig. 201).
NOTE: Measure the distance from the front surface of the handles to
____ the front surface of the top of the levers.

(4)
If it is necessary, adjust the fork assembly:
(a)
Turn the fork assembly to a position where the pin in the fork assembly starts to put pressure on the locking lever.
(b)
Make sure that the levers in the handles are at the correct dimension when this occurs.
(c)
Torque the rear jamnut to 27 |3 inch-pounds.
(5)
Push the levers forward to lock them in the closed position.
