(7) S 485-010Connect the power cable between the test set and the power outlet on the (D152) electronic equipment rack or an equivalent power outlet.
(8) S 485-001Connect the VTVM to the NSS FEEDBACK J7A and J8A on the test set.
(9) S 035-014Disconnect the sensor connectors D2205 (A system) or D2207 (B system).

Connect the -4 test cable (-111 cable on airplanes with a single A stablilizer position sensor) between the A system sensor and J-3 (A SENSOR) on the test set.

CURRENT SELECT switch to A T-VALVE

SOLENOID switches to the A NORM, OFF, and B NORM positions
(h)
ACTUATOR SELECT switch to A ONLY
(i)
POWER switch to the ON position.
NOTE: The power and NSS EXCITATION lights will be on.

(AMM 29-15-00/201, Hydraulic Systems).

E. Sensor Adjustment

Quickly move the control column and make sure the right elevator trailing edge is in line with the tail cone index |0.06 inch.

Loosen the screw on the sensor clamp until the sensor can be turned.

Turn the A sensor housing slowly until you get a value less than
0.5 volts.

Tighten the clamp screw 8 to 12 pound-inches.

Remove the lockwire and turn the thumbnut on the microadjustment rod until you get the smallest voltage possible (less than 70mV).

Do steps 1-5 again, with the VTVM connected to J7B and J8B on the test set, to adjust the B system sensor.
