If seal was replaced, verify that top of airflow seal is 0.14 (| 0.03) inch above the INU mounting rack surface (Fig. 501).
(b)
Repeat step (a) for each corner of plenum assembly.
(c)
If height of airflow seal is incorrect on any corner of plenum assembly, install spacer under that corner of plenum as required to obtain correct height (Fig. 501).
NOTE: Use spacer NAS43DD3-** where (**) is length of spacer

INS COOLING FAN/SCREEN - CLEANING

1. Screen______
A. Equipment and Materials
(1) Cleaning Solutions (Ref 20-30-01)
(a)
815 MX detergent or
(b)
1300A detergent
(c)
Soft bristle brush
(d)
Wipers - Clean, lint-free
B. Remove appropriate INS navigation unit (Ref 34-41-03)
C. Examine screen for dust and accumulation of nicotine tar or debris. If dust and accumulations are evident, lift out screen covering cooling air exhaust plenum.
D. Clean screen assembly in detergent solution with soft bristle brush.
E. Rinse in clean water, dry, and examine general condition of screen assembly.
2. INS Cooling Fan_______________
A. Equipment and Materials
(1) Hand-held bellows
B. Examine INS cooling fan for dust and accumulation of nicotine tar or debris. If dust and accumulations are evident, remove INS fan (Ref 34-41-12).
C. Dust or debris may be removed by gently blowing unit with hand held bellows. If dust or debris cannot be removed by gently blowing, replace fan (Ref 34-41-12).
CAUTION:_______BALANCE OF FAN BLADES IS CRITICAL. DO NOT USE HIGH PRESSURE AIR TO REMOVE DUST OR DEBRIS.
FAN IS NOT A SEALED UNIT AND MUST NOT BE IMMERSED IN CLEANING SOLUTION.
D. If accumulations of nicotine tar is evident, replace fan (Ref 34-41-12).
3. Install INS Cooling Fan and Screen__________________________________
A. Ensure cooling fan and screen are replaced (Ref 34-41-12).
4. Install INS Navigation Unit

A. Replace INS Navigation Unit (Ref 34-41-03).

A. The INS 3 power transfer relay is a plug-in type located in the left main power center panel (P14) on the left side of the main equiment center and identified by aluminum foil marker as R850.
