G. Test LITTON Inertial Navigation Unit (AIRPLANES WITH LTN-72RL INS)
(1)
Data Base Validity
(a)
Place mode selector switch on MSU to STBY. Verify the following on CDU display: 1) Title of data base (geographical zone) is on top line. 2) Program 72-73-00 is on second line. 3) Prompt/display line between the entry line markers contains
dashes for entry of present day, month, and year.
(b)
Enter todays date by pressing CDU pushbuttons corresponding to digits for day, month and year, in that sequence.
(c)
Press ENT pushbutton on the CDU. Verify that CDU display changes to show DATA BASE VALID between entry line markers.

Annunciator and Display Tests
(a)
Place mode selector switch on each MSU to STBY.
(b)
Press BRT and DIM pushbuttons on each CDU and verify that display brightens and dims.
(c)
Press STS pushbutton on each CDU, SYS STS/TEST page will appear on each CDU display with ALIGN between entry line markers.
(d)
Slew each CDU display up until SYSTEM TEST page appears (on each display) with DISPLAY TEST between entry line markers. Press EXP on each CDU and verify that: 1) Display pattern rotates through each of the five lines, on
each CDU display.
2) On each CDU, the WRN, BAT, ALR, and OFS annunciators come
on.
3) The ALERT annunciator (on each HSI) comes on.
4) The INS updating annunciators (on pilot's main instrument
panels) display green.
(e)
On each MSU, press READY NAV and BATT annunciators; verify that READY NAV annunciator comes on green and BATT annunciator comes on red.
(f)
To end test; press STS or EXP pushbutton on each CDU.
(3) If INS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
H. Test LITTON Inertial Navigation Unit (AIRPLANES WITH LTN-92 INS)
(1) Data Base Validity
(a)
Top line displays PGM 92-04-10.
(b)
CUSTOM DBASE is displayed between entry line markers.
