(a)
Message slot 1 - Mode message appears on top left corner of display. Selected mode is displayed as WX, WX+T, TURB, MAP, GCS and TEST.
(b)
Message slot 2 - Fault and alert message located at the top center of the display, annunciates, in flashing yellow characters, the alert messages of HOLD, WEAK or FAIL. If the data bus input to the indicator is not detected a flashing blue (cyan) colored FAIL message will be present.
(c)
Message slot 3 - Range message located at the top right corner of the CRT displays the selected range setting in blue (cyan) color.
(d)

Message slot 5 - Range interval located directly below message slot 3 (range), indicates range mark intervals.
(f)
Message slot 6, 7, 8, and 9 - LRU faults located directly below message slot 4 (color bars), display system detected LRU faults. The colored failure messages consist of T/R (receiver/tranmitter), ANT (antenna), DSP (display indicator) and CTL (control panel). The faults are priorty rated with the highest priority displayed in slot 6 with descending priority in slots 7, 8 and 9. If the data bus input to the indicator is not detected, combined FAIL and T/R blue (cyan) messages in slot 2 and 6 respectively will be displayed. All other unit fault messages are displayed in yellow.
(g)
Message slot 10 - The system GAIN setting is displayed at the bottom left corner of indicator's CRT in the MAP mode. Gain characters are in blue (cyan): MAX, 01 thru 08, MIN. Each gain step reduces system sensitivity by 2 dB.
(h)
Message slot 11 - Ground clutter suppression message located immediately to the right of message slot 10 at the bottom left corner of the indicator's CRT, displays IDNT when ground clutter suppression is selected. Otherwise, the message is blank.
(i)
Message slot 12 - Located at the bottom center of indicator. Meassage slot displays system selected. This slot is blank when system 1 is selected and will display S2 when system 2 is selected.
(j)
Message slot 13 - Stabilization status message located is to the right of system message (slot 12). The message is normally blank for stabilized operation. A flashing ATT message is displayed when an attitude input failure is detected. A SAT message is displayed when the system stabilization reaches saturated limits due to unusual attitude maneuvers. (k) Message slot 14 - Located at the bottom right corner of the indicator's CRT, displayes the antenna tilt angle in 0.25-degree increments in blue (cyan), from 15.00(X) to 15.00(X) where (X) represents an arrow pointing upward or downwards depending on the direction of antenna tilt selected. If the antenna tilt position is different than the position annunciated, a flashing yellow FAIL message in slot 2 and a yellow ANT failure message in slot 6, 7, 8 or 9 will be present.

Message slot 1 - Mode messages located at top left corner, presents selected mode of operation. The messages are WX, WX+T, SCH, MAP or TEST.
(b)
Message slot 2 - Alert or fault messages located at top center of display, annunciates flashing messages of WEAK or FAIL. FAIL will flash whenever a system failure is detected. WEAK will flash when system detects a loss of calibration, such as transmitted power, or receiver sensitivity has fallen below desired level but system is still usable.
(c)
Message slot 3 - Range messages located at top right display selected range in blue.
(d)
Message slot 4 - Color bar located directly below the mode message is displayed. This message slot normally displays a green, yellow, and red color bars. If the display experiences a color scheme failure, the message slot will identify the modified color scheme. When the slave operation is selected a SLV message will replace the three color bar display. If a system failure occurs a failure message identifing the faulty LRU will be displayed in place of the color bar or the SLV message. The LRU failure message will be displayed as T/R (receiver-transmitter), ANT (antenna), CTL (control panel), or DSP (indicator) in yellow.
