Set the mode selector switch on the WXR control panel to the WX position.
WARNING: DO NOT OPERATE THE WEATHER RADAR WHILE FUEL IS ADDED
_______ OR REMOVED FROM THE AIRPLANE. DO NOT TRANSMIT RF ENERGY WHILE FUEL IS ADDED OR REMOVED IN AN AREA 300 FEET OR LESS OF THE ANTENNA. THIS CAN CAUSE AN EXPLOSION.
MAKE SURE NO PERSONS ARE IN THE AREA 50 FEET OR LESS FROM THE ANTENNA WHEN IT TRANSMITS RF ENERGY. RF ENERGY CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
1) Make sure the WX mode messages show on the indicators. 2) Make sure no ATT message flashes on the indicators.
(c) Open the ATT INS-1 circuit breaker on the circuit breaker panel P7. 1) Make sure an ATT message flashes on each indicator.
NOTE: The ATT message on one indicator may be delayed
____
momentarily.
(d)
Close the ATT INS-1 circuit breaker.
1) Make sure both ATT messages do not show.
(e)
Set the SYS switch on the WXR control panel to 2.
(f)
Do the Stabilization Test for system 2.
1) Use the ATT INS-2 circuit breaker on the P7 circuit breaker panel.
(g)
Set the SYS switch on the WXR control panel to 1.
(h)
If no more tests of the weather radar are necessary; Do a Weather Radar System Shutdown Task.
O. Stabilization Test (Uses Tilt Table)
NOTE: The antenna tilt test must be done with this test for a
____ completed test of the weather radar stabilizaiton circuits.

(1) Do a weather radar stabilization test.
(a) Set the TILT control on the WXR control panel to 0 degree.
(b) Set the No. 1 and No. 2 INS mode select switches to the OFF
position (AMM 34-41-00/501).
(c) Place the INS units 1 and 2 on the tilt tables.
CAUTION:_______ BEFORE REMOVING INU-1 AND -2, TURN THE POWER OFF
AND PERMIT APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES FOR THE GYROS TO
COAST DOWN. IF THE UNITS ARE REMOVED TOO SOON,
GYROSCOPIC PRECESSION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(d) Connect the extension cables from the airplane connectors to
the INU units.
(e) Make sure the INU units point in the same direction as the INU
mount racks.
(f) Zero level the tilt tables.
(g) Prepare each INU for operation (AMM 34-41-00/501).
1) Erect to at least the coarse align mode.
a) Make sure the attitude flags on the captain's and the
first officer's ADI do not show.
(h) Set the INS-1 and INS-2 tilt tables to 0-degree pitch and roll.
(i) Set the mode selector switch on the WXR control panel to WX.

(j) Set the tilt table to 30-degree right roll.
1) Make sure the SAT stabilization messages on the indicators
do not show.
(k) Set the TILT control on the WXR control panel the plus 5-degree
tilt.
(l) Increase the INS -1 tilt table right roll until a blue SAT
message shows on each indicator.
NOTE:____ SAT message on one indicator may not show as soon as the
other indicator.
1) Make sure the tilt table is at 45 |1 degrees right roll.
(m) Turn the TILT control on the WXT control panel to 0-degree.
(n) Set the INS-1 tilt table to the 0-degree pitch and roll.
1) Make sure the blue SAT message on both indicators do not
show.

Set the SYS switch on the WXR control panel to 2.
(p)
Do the Stabilization Test for system 2 with the INS-2 tilt table.
(q)
Set the SYS switch on the WXR control panel to 1.
(r)
Set each INS mode selector to OFF.
(s)
Turn off the INS (AMM 34-41-00/501).
(t)
Remove the extension cables from the INS units and the airplane connectors.
