p) Repeat steps l) and m).
(i) After all four sets of waypoint coordinates have been entered,
press REMOTE key on each CDU and observe that all REMOTE key
lights go out.
(j) Set No. 1 INS CDU data selector to DSRTK/STS position and
monitor align mode number. Verify that Mode word (Fig. 501)
cycles from 9 to 7 and that CDU INSERT light remains
illuminated.
NOTE: Do not insert present position.____
(k) Using No. 1 INS CDU, insert a course of 7-8 in No. 1 INS CDU
FROM/TO display.
1) Press WY PT CHG key. Check that WY PT CHG key illuinates.
2) Press numbered keys 7 and 8. Check that 7 and 8
respectively appear in FROM-TO display.
3) If a keying error is made, press CLEAR key and repeat
steps 1) and 2).
4) If correct numbers appear in FROM-TO display, press INSERT
key. Check that WY PT CHG light goes out and INSERT light
remains illuminated.
(l) Load 00 into the No. 1 INS CDU FROM-TO display.
1) Press WY PT CHG key. Check that WY PT CHG key illuminates.
2) Press 0 key twice. Check that 0 0 appears in FROM-TO
display.
NOTE: Do not press INSERT key.____
(m) Set No. 1 INS CDU data selector to TK/GS position. Press and
hold No. 1 INS CDU AUTO-MAN TEST pushbutton.
(n) Verify that on CAPT's HSI:
1) Azimuth card reads 0 (| 1) degree when read against lubber
line.
2) Drift angle bug reads 0 (| 1) degree when read against
azimuth card.
3) Course arrow reads 0 (| 1) degree when read against
azimuth card.
4) Course deviation bar displays 1-dot fly-right crosstrack
deviation.
5) The MILES and GND SPEED indicators both read 888.
6) HEADING and navigation (striped) flags disappear from view.
7) The To-From pointer indicates From.
8) ALERT annunciator illuminates.
(o) Release No. 1 INS CDU AUTO-MAN TEST pushbutton.
(p) Using No. 1 INS CDU, insert a course of 1-2 in the CDU
FROM-TO display.
1) Press WY PT CHG key. Check that both WY PT CHG and INSERT
keys light.

2) Press numbered keys 1 and 2. Check that 1 and 2

2) Drift angle bug reads 22.5 (| 1) degrees when read against
azimuth card.
3) Preset course arrow reads 37 (|1) degrees when read
against azimuth card.
4) Course deviation bar displays two dots fly-left crosstrack
deviation.
NOTE: Viewing normally the crosstrack deviation bar will____
cover at least the edge of the dot.
5) The To-From pointer indicates To.
6) HEADING flag remains in view.
7) Navigation (striped) flag disappears from view.
(s) Set CAPT's VOR-ILS/INS switch to VOR/ILS position. Verify
that on CAPT's HSI:
1) VOR-ILS/INS annunciator reads VOR-ILS.
2) Drift angle bug reads 11.25 (| 1) degrees when read on the
drift angle scale relative to the lubber line.
