(o)
Repeat steps (l) and (m), to verify that transferred latitude and longitude coordinates of each remaining waypoint are correct.
(9) If the INS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
L. Alignment Status Check
(1)
If required, prepare for test as described in par. D.
(2)
Ensure that present position coordinates are entered into the INS and that mode selector switch on MSU is set to ALIGN.
(3)
To check INS alignment status press CDU STS pushbutton. Verify that SYS STS/TEST page appears on CDU display and that:
(a) The number on ALIGN line is the status number. (Status numbers start at 90 and decrement through 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 10, and 2 as alignment sequence progress).
NOTE: The LTN-92 does not have status 40.
____
(b) The number on TIME line is minutes and tenths of minutes remaining in ALIGN.
(4)
On airplanes with LTN-72RL INS, verify that MSU READY NAV annunciator comes on when the INS aligns to status 2.
(5)
On airplanes with LTN-92 INS, verify that MSU ALIGN annunciator goes out when the INS aligns to status 2.
(6)
On airplanes with LTN-72RL INS, when MSU READY NAV annunciator is on, place MSU mode selector switch to NAV, the READY NAV annunciator will go out. Verify that ALIGN line changes to NAV with a status number of 1, and TIME line changes to time in navigate mode.

(7)
On airplanes with LTN-92 INS, when status 2 is reached, place MSU mode selector switch to NAV. Verify that ALIGN line changes to NAV with a status number of 1, TIME line changes to time in navigate mode, and the MSU ALIGN annunciator goes out.
(8)
If the INS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
M. INS-CADC Interface Test
(1)
If required, prepare for test as described in par. D.
(2)
Connect a pneumatic test unit to the airplanes pitot-static system (Ref 34-11-00).
(3)
Verify that present position coordinates are entered into each INS.
(4)
Verify that mode selector switch on each MSU is in NAV and
READY NAV annunciator is extinguished.
(5)
Press DATA pushbutton on each CDU. Verify that INSTRU DATA page appears on each CDU display. Slew each display upward until TAS (true airspeed) and ALT (altitude) are displayed.
(6)
Using pneumatic test unit establish an altitude of 15,000 feet and an indicated airspeed of 250 knots (Ref 34-11-00).
(7)
On each CDU verify that TAS display is 328 knots | 15 knots,
and ALT display is 15,000 feet |100 feet.
(8)
Press No. 1 CADC self-test pushbutton A. Verify that TAS and ALT displays on CDU-1 and CDU-3 are blank.
(9)
Release self-test pushbutton A.
(10)
Press No. 2 CADC self-test pushbutton A. Verify that TAS and ALT displays on CDU-2 are blank.
(11)
Release self-test pushbutton A.
(12)
Return pitot-static system to ambient pressure and disconnect pneumatic test unit (Ref 34-11-00).
(13)
If the INS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
N. INS Approach Mode Test.
(1)
If required, prepare for test as described in par. D.
(2)
Verify that present position coordinates are entered into each INS.
(3)
On airplanes with LTN-72RL INS, verify that mode selector switch on each MSU is in NAV and READY NAV annunciator is extinguished. On airplanes with LTN-92 INS, verify that mode selector switch on each MSU is in NAV and ALIGN annunciator is extinguished.
(4)
Verify that both Capt's and F/O's VOR-ILS/INS switches are in INS position.
(5)
Verify that INS transfer switch on the captain's main instrument panel is in CAPT 1 - F/O 2 position.
(6)
Verify that VOR/INS transfer switch on the captain's main instrument panel is in CAPT 1 - F/O 2 position.
