On airplanes with LTN-72RL INS,
press HLD pushbutton on CDU.
(d)
Verify that the waypoint number of next available blank waypoint appears on CDU display, between entry line markers.
(e)
On CDU, press alpha pushbutton corresponding to alpha designator for the blank waypoint. Verify that the alpha designator appears on CDU display between entry line markers, to the right of waypoint number.
NOTE: Designate the MAP waypoint by entering -,M,A,P as the
____ alpha designator for the blank waypoint.
(f)
Press ENT pushbutton on CDU. Verify that display slews down to place LAT prompt/display line between entry line markers.
(g)
Press 2N or 8S pushbutton on CDU to start latitude entry. Verify that N or S character replaces <> symbol in LAT prompt/display line.
(h)
Press CDU pushbuttons corresponding to latitude.
(i)
If latitude displayed is correct, press ENT pushbutton on CDU. Verify that LAT line flashes and display slews up to place LON prompt/display line between entry line markers.
(j)
Press W4 or 6E pushbutton on CDU, to start longitude entry. Verify that W or E character replaces <> symbol in LON prompt/display line.
(k)
Press CDU pushbuttons corresponding to longitude.
(l)
If longitude displayed is correct, press ENT pushbutton on CDU. Verify that LON line flashes and display slews up to place next available blank waypoint between entry line markers.
(m)
Repeat steps (e) thru (l), to enter remaining waypoints into CDU.
(8) Select track leg on each INS as follows:
(a)
Press A.N pushbutton on CDU. Verify that the letter N appears in upper right-hand corner of the display on CDU.
(b)
Press LEG pushbutton on CDU. Verify that LEG CHANGE page is displayed on CDU, with FROM _ _ TO _ _ between entry line markers.

On airplanes with LTN-72RL INS, select designated VORTAC station frequency as follows:
(a)
Press CAT pushbutton on CDU-1. Verify that SELECT CATLG page is displayed on CDU.
(b)
Slew display on CDU-1 to place STATIONS between entry line markers, and then press EXP pushbutton on CDU-1. Verify STATIONS page is displayed on CDU.
(c)
With a VORTAC station alphanumeric designator between CDU-1 entry line markers, press EXP pushbutton on CDU. Verify that the VORTAC station latitude, longitude, and frequency appear on CDU-1 display. Note the frequency.
(d)
On each VHF navigation control panel, press NORM switch/indicator and MAN switch/indicator. Verify that the switch/indicators illuminate. On each VHF control panel, select VORTAC station frequency noted above.
NOTE: For this test, when a VORTAC frequency is selected, it
____ is not necessary for the VHF navigation receiver (or DME interrogator) to receive an incoming VORTAC signal.
On airplanes with LTN-92 INS,
select designated VORTAC station frequency as follows:
(e)
Press CAT pushbutton on CDU-1. Verify that CATALOGS page is displayed on CDU.
(f)
Slew display on CDU-1 to place LOC STA between entry line markers, and then press EXP pushbutton on CDU-1. Verify LOC STA page is displayed on CDU.
(g)
With a VORTAC station alphanumeric designator between CDU-1 entry line markers, press EXP pushbutton on CDU. Verify that the VORTAC station latitude, longitude, and frequency appear on CDU-1 display. Note the frequency.
(h)
