5) Repeat steps 2) through 4) for additional waypoint insertions using a different CDU to do data loading each time. Set waypoint selector to positions 2 up to 9 consecutively while loading each successive waypoint.
NOTE: Repeat waypoint loading until each CDU has been
____ used for remote loading into other INS's. If incorrect data is displayed, reload (remotely) again until data is correct.
6) Press REMOTE key on each CDU and observe that each REMOTE key light goes out.
(s) If INS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
(4) Test Inertial Navigation System/Central Air Data System Interface
(a)
If required, prepare for test as described in paragraph D.
(b)
Set mode selector switch on each MSU (mode selector unit on P5 panel) to STBY position.
(c)
Place each INS in LOOK routine by performing following on each control/display unit. 1) Set data selector to POS. 2) Press WY PT CHG key. 3) Enter 99 on data keys so FROM-TO displays 9 9. 4) Press INSERT key. 5) Set data selector to WAY PT. 6) Enter N26 on data keys. 7) Set waypoint select thumbwheel to 0. 8) Press INSERT key. Check that 0026 appears in both data
displays. 9) Set data selector to DIS/TIME. Data display indicators now read contents of memory location 26.
(d)
On airplanes with CIV INS, press and hold No. 1 central air data computer self-test pushbutton. Observe that CDU's for INS No. 1 and INS No. 3 indicate XXXX 4XXX where X is any number. Keep self-test pushbutton depressed. On airplanes with CIVA INS, press and hold No. 1 central air data computer self-test pushbutton. Observe that CDU's for INS No. 1 and INS No. 3 indicate XXXX 5XXX where X is any number. Keep self-test pushbutton depressed.
(e)
Perform following on control/display units for INS No. 1 and INS No. 3. 1) Set data selector to WAY PT. 2) Enter N616 on data keys. 3) Press INSERT key. Check that 0616 appears in both data
displays.
4) Set data selector to DIS/TIME.

Two minutes after TAS light on the face of CADC 1 has extinguished, verify that CDU's for INS No. 1 and INS No. 3 indicate between 0670 XXXX and 0660 XXXX where X is any number
(g)
Repeat step (e), but enter N1574 on data keys.
(h)
Verify that CDU's for INS No. 1 and INS No. 3 indicate between 77XX 3134 and 00XX 2126 where X is any number.
NOTE: Only 77 or 00 may be present as indicated.

Release No. 1 central air data computer self-test pushbutton.
(j)
Repeat step (e), but enter N26 on data keys.
(k)
On airplanes with CIV INS, verify that CDU's for INS No. 1 and INS No. 3 indicate XXXX 0XXX where X is any number. On airplanes with CIVA INS, verify that CDU's for INS No. 1 and INS No. 3 indicate XXXX 1XXX where X is any number.
(l)
Repeat steps (d) through (k) using central air data computer No. 2 and CDU for INS No. 2.
(m)
Return each INS to normal by performing following on each control/display unit. 1) Set data selector to POS. 2) Press WY PT CHG key. 3) On airplanes with Delco CIVA-25, CIVA-28A, CIVA-28A-2 or
32C INS, enter 0 1 on INS CDU data keys so FROM-TO displays 0 1. 4) On airplanes with Delco CIVA-20 or CIV-31N INS, enter 1 2 on INS CDU data keys so FROM-TO displays 1 2. 5) Press INSERT key.
(n)
If INS is no longer required, restore airplane to normal.
(5) Test Inertial Navigation System/HSI Interface
(a)
If required, prepare for test as described in paragraph D.
(b)
Check HSI annunciators. 1) Set CAPT's and F/O's VOR-ILS/INS switch to INS position. 2) On ATLAS ALL EXCEPT AT 701-750,
set INS transfer switch to the CAPT 1 F/O 2 position.
On AT 701-750,
set CAPT'S and F/O's INS transfer switches to the NORM
position.
3) Verify that on both CAPT's and F/O's HSI:
a) MAG/TRUE annunciator reads TRUE.
b) VOR-ILS/INS annunciator reads INS.
c) Preset heading bug biases to the 6 o'clock position.
4) Verify that CAPT's HSI data source annunciator reads 1 and that F/O's HSI data source annunciator reads 2.

(c) Load a false present position of N50.00.0' latitude and W000.00.0' longitude in accordance with following procedure.
